Granny's Country Kitchen Penang

Granny's Country Kitchen located at Rangoon Road offers diners meals with the touch on how our granny may have cooked our meals. It gives that feel of just like eating home cooked dishes.

Let's pop in and see what's the menu like.

As you walk in, the first thing that catches your attention will be the station where the noodles are made.

Spicy Handmade Noodle - RM6.50
The best thing about it is that the noodles are freshly made and done upon order. So you get such nice bite of the noodle and together with the sauce and a tinge of spiciness give you such an appetizing bowl of noodles.

Well you SPICY is your thing, then you will love the various chili prepared in this small container for you to enjoy away. I was told the on without the label, it the spiciest of all. I shall pass that or I would practically flood the whole restaurant with my sweat haha..

Apart from noodles there is also the rice set option you could opt for if you prefer something heavier. The first option would the RM 10.90nett set which consist of rice, soup of the day, 1 main dish, 2 side dishes and herbal tea. For your main dish you may choose from Fried Chicken, Fried Garlic Pork, Sesame Chicken, Hakka Pork Leg and Secret Sauce Chicken.

Hakka Pork Leg
The pork is braised til tender in a nicely flavoured sauce.

Fried Garlic Pork
Something very interesting yet makes you craving for more with every bite as the garlic that is infused into the pork gives such nice fragrant and aroma. Something that you hardly come by.

While you are there you may want to their their other ala-carte items.

Sweet Sour Chicken Rice RM 8.00
Stir Fry Fish Fillet with Bean Paste RM 18.00

Stir Fry Fish Fillet with Bean Paste RM 18.00

Spicy Preserved Eggs RM 6.00

Traditional Loh Bak RM 5.00
One thing I personally like about this is that the lobak is fried in such way that it is crispy on all-round type.

Fried Wantan RM 6.00

Handmade Dumpling With Soup RM 8.00

Of course, nothing like winding down the meal with a nice refreshing homemade drinks such as Ginger Tea or even their Homemade Lime and Dried Sour Plum juice.

So if you happen to be in town especially passing Burma Road or Macalister Road, do make a trip to Granny's Country Kitchen and try their delicious food.
