I recently visited Ixora Hotel Penang upon their invitation for their Sparks with Ixora II night. I was such an honour to be there for a night that showcased the brand new additions to the hotel. Hotel guest can look forward to an even more delightful experience on overall at the hotel.
While waiting for the ballroom to open its doors for event, we were treated to light bites and an irresistible presentation of chocolate fountain. Everyone was flocking at that area as it was beautifully presented. Skewers of fruits that were so hard to resist in chocolate.
When the doors of the Grand Ballroom were opened, guest were welcomed to a gorgeous setting for the night.
The event started with the warm welcome speeches and a toast from the family that owns the hotel.
It was then time to please and pamper our palates. We were presented with one of their newly introduced dinner menu.
We had the chance to delight away the delicious creations from the Delicieux Menu Package
(RM 1188 per table).

Nyonya Chicken Kerabu with Pine Nuts
Wu Nam Sesame Anchovies
This starter was definitely something very unusual. Unlike the common starters that you get, the hotel definitely brought this up one notch.
Soup
Sup Ayam Berempah
Guest were also entertained by a special performance from a live brand during meal.
De "Treasure of Seafood"
Breaised Sea Asparagus, Baby Abalones and Dried Scallops accompanied with Brocolli
This was like a pot of magical seafood flavours in it. The seafood flavour was just heavenly. So satisfying that you would want more serving of it.
Prawns
Supreme Golden Ocean Prawns
A magician then came on stage to further entertain the guest with his magic tricks.
Roasted Lamb
Oven Slow Roasted Lamb Leg with Baby Potatoes & Garden Green Vegetables. Served with Honey Black Pepper Sauce
The dish on overall was just superb. The lamb was nicely seasoned and cook to such nice tender bites. The sauce with a tinge of sweetness from the honey just gave the dish a nice overall taste.
The baby potatoes was so addictive too.
Chicken
Oven Baked Mongolian Chicken with Fruits Salsa
Juicy pieces of chicken, nicely flavoured with a tad of sweetness and a light kick of mild spiciness.
Deep Affection
Steamed Garoupa with Superior Essence
Fresh firm meat that is just a perfect match with the soy sauce.
Dessert
Chilled Mango Puree with Pomelo (Coconut Ice Cream)
Nothing like winding down the meal with a delicious cool treat like this. The fragrant mango puree was simply wonderful. Poping bursting bites of the pomelo flesh and the coconut ice cream just gives the dessert a nice twist.
